Top 10 reasons why the Jets and Darrelle Revis can't come to terms

The Jets and star cornerback Darrelle Revis are now into the second week of a holdout, with grim news and talk of a season-long event in the air. Why is it so hard to get the man into camp?

10) The team has no money left after taking care of deserving long-term Jets like Braylon Edwards and LaDanian Tomlinson

9) Revis won't be happy until he makes Nnamdi "$15 Million A Year To Make The Other Team Just Throw At The Other Guy" Asomugha look underpaid

8) The Jets season ticket holders just are n0t paying enough for their PSLs to afford nice things

7) Revis holding out is a critical part of the team having a wildly disappointing season after winning road playoff games last year

6) The holdout adds vital tension to upcoming episodes of "Hard Knocks"

5) Revis can't even afford to live in New York City without a roommate on the pittance million that the Jets are paying him

4) The corner is making the incredibly dangerous decision that he'll somehow be fine, even if he misses weeks of non-stop ball sweat training camp against guys who will be in the UFL in September

3) The fact that this is an uncapped year really isn't doing much for the Jets' bargaining position

2) By waiting just a few more days, Revis has a good chance of seeing the other starting CB, Antonio Cromartie, get arrested again to improve his negotiating position

1) There's a reason -- actually, make that many reasons -- why this franchise hasn't won a Super Bowl in 41 years
